KENT MUNICIPAL COURTHOUSE, KENT, WA. Steel, tempered sandblasted glass, copper & aluminum leaf.
14 ft x 4 ft 2 in – 3 ft 10 in x 3 in.

This art wall, separating visitors entering and leaving the courthouse, is made with two 14' long tempered glass panels which have silhouettes of tree branches sandblasted into them. The etched shapes were then hand metal leafed; one with copper, the other with aluminum, and are held together with a custom fabricated patinaed steel handrail and frame.  Bringing beautiful natural forms into a sometimes stressful environment has proved to be popular with visitors and employees alike. Commissioned by City of Kent.
