CASCADE

2015
WC STUDENT RECREATION CENTER. BELLINGHAM, WA. Copper, acrylic, and stainless steel cable. 18' x 100' x 10'

Inspired by the movement and shapes of the waters of the Northwest, "Cascade" is a suspended sculpture which creates a river of copper and acrylic spheres animating the busy WC Student Recreation Center. I worked with student representatives, faculty, and SRG Partnership architects to develop this piece. I used computer modeling to configure the sculpture in accordance with the complexity of the space. Commissioned by Whatcom College.
